Schmitt Sohne Riesling, Germany
Originates from the wine-growing area Mosel-Saar-Ruwer and grows in the "Mosel-typical" slate-soil,
which provides a unique benefit: It stores the heat of the sun during day time and gives it back to
the vines at night and by doing this stimulates growth in a natural way. The Riesling grape is one of
the "classical" grape varieties in Germany earning the reputation as the "Queen" of varietals. The
longer ripening-period (October/November) allows the grapes to develop more slowly resulting in a
desirable balance of sweetness and acidity. $20
Hogue Johannisburg Riesling, Columbia Valley Washington State
The 2004 Riesling opens with a milange of aromas: orange blossom, jasmine, Meyer lemon, peach,

Rapidan River Semi-dry Riesling, Virginia
Harvesting at night, when grapes the grapes were cool, and a long fermentation at low temperatures
helped to ensure that the delicate, fruity nuances of the grape were retained in the wine. This
Riesling displays the aromas of apricot, green apple and pear on the front of the palate. The fruit
and sweetness are balanced by the crisp, clean structure that one would find in the classical
European Rieslings. $21
Lake Anna Lakeside White, Virginia
A semi-dry white with dried peaches and vanilla with a touch of lime zest in a semi-dry complement

Luna Di Luna Pinot Grigio / Chardonnay, Italy
The original 60/40 Chardonnay/Pinot Grigio blend. It offers a light and refreshingly crisp finish

Azure Bay Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, New Zealand
Azure Bay is bold and crisp with flavors of grapefruit, melon and passion fruit. The finish is clean and
refreshingly delicious now. This wine is a blend of 54% Sauvignon and 46% Semillon. It has the racy citrus
and soft floral character of the two grapes. Elegant seafood wine as well as with poultry. A fine flavor
to match with aged goat cheeses. $22
Dry Creek Fume Blanc, Sonoma
This vintage exhibits aromas of citrus, grapefruit, melon and lemongrass. On the palate, vibrant flavors
of lemon-lime and citrus follow suit with the addition of gooseberry and a touch of minerality. The
balanced, crisp acidity cleanses the palate and invites an array of foods, including goat cheese, seafood,
and fresh oysters. $30
Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand
A distinctive bouquet of cut grass and capsicum, with underlying aromas of gooseberry and tropical fruits.
This is New Zealand Sauvignon at its best, with intense, fresh gooseberry, pear and passionfruit flavors,

Allan Scott Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand
A very full bodied wine that contains an abundance of fruit flavors and a spanking acidity. Pineapple,
passionfruit and melon like flavors are all present, in addition to a hint of Marlborough herbaceousness.
A very lively and approachable wine. There are many occasions to enjoy the 2004 Sauvignon Blanc, either
as an aperitif, on its own or accompanied by seafood or salad dishes. $24
Full Bodied Whites
R. H. Phillips Toasted Head Chardonnay, California
Spiced, ripe pear and nectarine aromas, with a touch of mango, tropical fruit and vanilla. On the palate,
fresh nectarine, citrus and tropical fruit flavors are complemented by toasty butterscotch oak. The wine
has a rich creamy texture, with ample acidity and a long, soft finish. $35
Fat Bastard Chardonnay, France
An elegant, pale golden color with aromas of vanilla, hazelnut and toast. A full-bodied Chardonnay with
bright, fresh fruit flavors and a hint of oak. Ideal as an accompaniment to a variety of cheeses, seafood,
poultry and cream sauce pastas. $25
Prince Michel Reserve Chardonnay, Virginia
To integrate and preserve the fruity, creamy, peach and vanilla nose, this wine was fermented in new and
one year old oak barrels. A portion was fermented in stainless steel before blending to introduce a crispness
to the structure of the wine. Aging sur lie allowed this wine to develop a butterscotch dimension with
the broad mouth feelcharacteristic of our Chardonnay. The barrels also add a dimension of fruitiness and
nuttiness. This Chardonnay is complex and lovely, with the structure and character to age well.
The delightful aromas and clean, elegant fruit of this wine make it the perfect complement to fresh
vegetables, fowl and French Provincial cuisine. $24

Yellow Label is known throughout the world and is an aromatic assemblage of two thirds black grapss
(pinot noir and Meunier) and one third Chardonnay. $65
Graham Beck Brut, South Africa
A blend of 50% chardonnay and 50% pinot noir. The two varieties were blended separately and then
crossblended, bottled and left for 24 months to undergo secondary fermentation in the bottle. The
wine is characterized by light, yeasty aromas, a rich and creamy complexity, with the fine mousse
giving it freshness and finesse. Great with seafood and light meats $28

Prince Michel Symbius, Virginia
2001 was one of the best growing seasons we have seen in Virginia. Dry conditions prevailed throughout
the vintage and resulted in small berries that were concentrated with color and flavor. This blend
shows the deepest intensities and highlighted flavors of dark chocolate, current and blackberry. Powerful
in fruit yet the tannins are soft and silky, the 2001 Symbius has a lingering texture of soft vanilla
from the blend of oaks. $45

Rich, deep, blackberry fruit, sweet spices and a hint of charry vanillin oak combine in a medium to fuill
bodied palate. The aroma is intense and packed with blackberry fruit, liquorice, and spice. Recommended

blackberry fruit. A persistent, lengthy, fruit-driven finish $36
Pedroncelli Cabernet Sauvignon, California
The nose of this aromatic wine combines notes of currant and raspberry with moderate spice and just a hint
of toasty oak. In the mouth the flavors combine wonderfully with just enough tannin to say "this is a Cab"
but pleasantly full-bodied fruit flavors predominate. It is blended with small amounts of three other
varietals, which adds to the rounded mouthfeel and overall balance of the wine. $30
Prince Michel Cabernet Sauvignon Cask 98, Virginia
This is a robust wine with deep, rich flavors of plum, cherry and raspberry that give way to hints of
chocolate and freshly roasted coffee beans. In the tradition of the classic Bordeaux, a small amount
of Merlot was blended with the Cabernet Sauvignon to give the wine a bright, round fruit component.
The finish is smooth and reveals a soft vanilla tone that comes from aging in small oak barrels
for nine months. $26
Bodegas Salentein Cabernet Sauvignon, Argentina
Thirty-year-old vines grown at over 3,500 feet made this wine a velvet beauty. Unlike Salenteins malbec
and shiraz, this tastes very stylized, its sleek fruit smoothed further by a gloss of oak. Yet the oak
never covers cabernets cassis and pepper flavors, just expands, enriches. $32
Catena Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina
An opaque violet, almost blackish color typical of top quality Argentine Malbec. This microclimate blend
of three unique vineyard sites offers intense aromatics with rich, concentrated flavors, and a soft
generous texture. The Angelica vineyard lends ripe plum and chocolate flavors with a very soft,
supple mouthfeel. The Uxmal vineyard offers blackberry fruit with spicy black pepper notes. The Altamira
vineyard brings a core of black currant and cassis, with excellent structure and length. $50
