Over the summer, my parents and I did some train chasing. Visiting the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, the Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola, the Virginia & Truckee Railroad in Virginia City and the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City, my first ever visit to Nevada. View a few clips of what its like riding the Durbin Rocket in Durbin West Virginia. The Durbin Rocket is known for its rare Climax Steam engine (engine #3). As of 2009 it was the only functioning locomotive of its type. (Cass Scenic Railway is currently in the process of rebuilding Climax engine #9).
